Capable Women

We had lots of loving hands to help with making animals for Emmett’s playmat. I am sure Mama and Emmett will enjoy and treasure them for a long time! And They have been given a test run by Uncle John, too! (:

Well, I am happy to be able to be back here again so soon, with something to show you…

Not quite finished yet (ran out of ribbon) but I think you can see the gist of it? This is a play mat for Emmett. At the baby shower we will be making animals and the tree “puffs” to go with it. Hope you like it Annie…? Needs some flowers… I think I will “tie” it with little ones?

Hi There, I have been spending a lot of time with the Flits lately so haven’t been able to get over here much. If you want to see what I have been up to, you can click on the Flitland link in the “Places I Like to Visit” box on the right side of this page… Glad you stopped by… (:  I’ll be back soon…

Here they are the pictures I promised… Didn’t I say he was just perfect! In fact, they both are!

I think these two are going to be good pals… they just have that “pal” look about them…

Some bonding going on here I think….

Well, I’m off to Flitland… and I’ll also be working on a little something for Emmett’s baby shower (:

We have been celebrating the removal of Emily’s braces and the abundance of beautiful smiles she is producing these last few days… We are thankful for all that went into making this “new” smile for her

Before…

The bottom tooth sticking out had very littl bone and gum in front of it to hold it in so the orthodontist said that ,even thought he doesn’t usually put braces on children as young as Emily, he felt, to save this tooth, it was a good idea…

Close up…

After…

Hi there, sorry to be so “not here” theses last few days..lots of visiting and activity with the arrival of Baby Emmett! I’ll be back in the saddle soon with lots to share!

Baby Davison is here and is now officially Emmett Michael Davison! He was born at 8:15, weighs 9 lbs. 7 oz. and is just about a cute as they come. We are so proud of him and his Momma and Papa and will get some pictures up here as soon as we can…. couldn’t wait to let everyone know!!! (:

I just can’t wait any longer… I was hoping to have a new picture of the best guy on earth but he is hard to catch! I just want everyone to know that he took me out to a very artsy and romantic restaurant and bought me a pretty pricey dinner complete with candle light and kisses! It is definitely an evening I will remember. So, all you guys out there, … if you want to know how to bless your sweetheart, Mike is the guy that can tell you what’s what! Thanks again Dear, for a very sweet and memorable evening!!! I Love You!!!anniversary-web2

Update… I finally caught him!

We just recently had the privilege of having some dear friends come and stay a night with us… We had a wonderful time of “catch-up” and, for extra fun, made Spring Rolls for dinner…

These pictured are Emily’s… she did a mighty fine job with those tender and delicate rice paper wrappers!  There were only a couple dissappointments to an otherwise a perfect visit! My dear friend wasn’t able to come because of illness and I found dust bunnies under a chair in the bedroom where “A” stayed (after being so careful to try and make that room “perfect” for her, honest! We emptied the whole room, switched beds from Emily’s room to John’s, swept, mopped and dusted right before they came, and there wasn’t a dust bunny in sight anywhere :} (John must carry them in his pocket unknowingly and then they jump out and hide while he isn’t looking!) Oh well!

Anyway, it was a delightful time and I did receive a number of gifts and a very special promise of a “raincheck” from my dear friend, to come for a visit soon…

Now, I DO have a set of knitting needles in size 10, but they are VERY long and keep getting caught in my sweater, so doesn’t everyone know that that is sufficient reason to get a new set of needles, shorter ones and double ended ??? Especially if they only cost $.59 (cents)! I am so happy with these “Make Them Yourself” brand of needles!!!

A little bit of dowel, a pencil sharpener, some fine grit sandpaper and some elbow grease!

Now, when I am a more experienced knitter, these might not cut it any longer but while I am still a beginner they are “perfect”!

What’s on your needles?
